Research at
Matter Labs
Our mission
At Matter Labs, our research focuses on high-risk, high-reward endeavors that may not always align with our engineering roadmap. Over time, some of these projects are integrated into our products (following the traditional tech transfer model), while others serve to advance the industry as a whole.
The objective of our research is to gain external recognition through publications and insightful articles, thereby enhancing our academic credibility. Our outputs vary widely, ranging from draft papers on ArXiv to visionary articles published on our blog, as well as presentations at academic and industry conferences.
Research cultivates extensive engagement with academic circles, encompassing collaborative projects, publications, postdoctoral positions, visiting professorships, and more.
We aim to leverage external research expertise to bolster Matter Labs' visibility and bring forth the best innovations. To give our work the broadest recognition, we also aim to publish in top-tier venues, such as IEEE S&P, Crypto, FC, and others.
